Can A2 be blued?

Anyone try bluing A2 steel? I have a Blackjack that I would like to blue and would like to know if it will turn out OK. Thanks. - CAman
 
Thanks for the reply Michael. How does it come out? Is it uniform or spotty? Also, what kind of bluing solution can one use? Will Birchwood Casey's Super Blue cold blueing work? Thanks in advance. - CAman

Super blue will work just fine. You will have to apply it several times. Just follow the directions on the bottle. Be sure to rub down with fine steel wool, in between applications. Mike

You might want to heat the blade, like with hot water right before you apply the blue, it takes a lot better when the blade is warm. Just make sure it its CLEAN AS CLEAN CAN BE.
