Can any comment on the Buck Paradigm AUTO

the 110 auto has a safety. its the sheath. its designed to be a safety when carried in it. where the trouble comes if folks stick the knife it in a pocket. which is a very bad idear. it doesn't even really have the recessed button setup.....which doesn't really work all that well as a safety feature. George Schrade tried this over 100 years ago, saw it failed and put safeties back on his autos. safeties on side opener autos were around until benchmade put a patent on a slide style safety and started going after other makers who had a similar designed safety. so they all stopped and went to recessed buttons, cause they didn't have anything else.

overall it's created a bad idear that safeties get in the way of speed. similar to the glocks internal safeties creating the idear that an external safety slowed things down too much and had no use.

Been carrying ProTech button autos without safeties for well over a decade. To your point (pun intended) it would only take once to change my mind.

A well designed button lock carried clipped tip up against the edge of the pocket is the only way I will carry a button lock auto. Or in a sheath in the case of the 110. Either way if the blade accidentally deploys carried in that manner it should be easy to retrieve and unlikely to injure you. Still has yet to happened but I feel comfortable enough to not give it much thought anymore.

I do not own any auto knives at all, so my opinion on them overall is void. I do know that the safety on my 1911 doesn't slow deployment in the least. But you guys are missing an obvious solution:

Leather pockets.

I have been carrying one for a year now, little heavier that the vantages I always carried, but I like it. The steel is very nice holds a nice edge.

hi
i bought one at the lakeland fl knife show and i love it!!! reg steel is fine
it is my edc now when i need one ... the bolster movement is smooth and it fires open with a snap!
dont need two hands to close it either! all pros with no con's about it
