I need some scrap titanium to practice flame coloring on. I am looking for flatter pieces rather than rods.
Please let me know and make me an offer.
Thanks!

Have you checked Ebay yet? It is amazing how much it has gone up over the last two years. I have some very thin (1/32) slices from when I was collecting some cuttings that I have no use for.

Sorry, I haven't been using flat stock since my bike parts. I'm only using titanium bar stock for the rings. Anodizing with electricity gets more even results than flame coloring. Check out this guy's writeup for anodizing and the theory behind it: http://www.mrtitanium.com/interference.html He has a section on building an anodizer there too.

JCaswell, thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it. I will post any results whether good or bad.

Thanks!
Paul
