My understanding also. There was a thread a quite a while back that talked about dating older 120's. Two signs of this era was no date code, and the extra red spacer at the top butt end of the handle. I have also been told, but have not seen it substantiated that this knife was a favourite "un-official" PX purchase for use in Vietnam, and therefore the enclosed full flap sheath, versus the usual "Snoopy" sheath, since the full sheath meant less rattle noise, and less chance for the alum-alloy butt to catch the light. Anyone else ever hear that?
Nice shape for the era, by the way. So many of these got beat up, or ground beyond recognition.
