I have this from my dad's estate and I am having a hard time finding out exactly what I have here. Very difficult to establish what kind of value this thing has and how old it may be. If anyone can shed any light on this or know the best way to go about selling it, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm not really a collector so I'd like to get a fair price for it. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Can you post all the knives in one thread instead of opening a bunch? There is a knife just like that on eBay for $525 but have no idea about if that's accurate

Welcome to Bladeforums.

From what I've read on this forum, the Hoffritz folding bowie has been produced from the 1880's through present day. Based on it's appearance, and the condition of the sheath, I'd assume that the one you have is newer rather than older. But that's just an opinion, and not an expert one.

As others have stated, you need a Gold membership to ask for a dollar value on this forum. But even without a Gold membership you can still ask other questions about your knife (age, rarity, etc). I suggest you post your questions and pictures over in the Bernard Levine's Knife Collecting & Identification sub-forum here at Bladeforums. You can find that forum by clicking on the white "Forum" button at the top left corner of the screen under the Bladeforums logo. That will take you to the forum directory. Bernard Levine's sub-forum can be found in the top box.

As for where you might sell it, if you buy a Gold Bladeforums membership you can sell it here on the exchange (can also be found in the forum directory). Or, if the knife turns out to be particularly old, you might consult someone who deals specifically in selling antique cutlery. And then there are auction sites that deal specifically with knives.
