I have a belt knife from VCM that has ironwood scales, it is a 1095 russell or green river with a clip point, anyway, the scales are a a little smooth, I am wondering if anyone can recommend someone who can just add a little texture to the slabs? Maybe cross hatching or something, but still will keep the ironwood still looking nice. I used it too carve up turkey last Thansgiving but it felt slippery when I got the juices flowing on it. Any idea is appreciated. I would try to add a few lines myself, but time runs away and I am not the most efficient with tools.

You may need to look up some gunsmiths. Checkering is kind of expensive though.
