Can anyone ID this Al Mar knife?

Ms. Mar--

Very good news. Will these be sold as part of the present Al Mar company's offerings, or should we be looking for a new brand name?

Hi David - I was only involved in Gary Fadden's version of the company for a very short time. The good news is, however, that after far too many years, the Mar family is finally returning to the knife industry in 2014. We will be making never-before-seen designs of my father's along with design from other makers. Inventory is being made as we speak at our new shop in CA.

WOW! Thats great news PLEASE keep us up to date! I for one will be interested in your fathers designs..

THanks

Where in CA?!?
I'd be happy with just putting knives in boxes, for a chance to work for Al Mar. :p

This is about the best "knife" news I've had in a while!

I'm very happy to see you guys making a comeback. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep them US or Japan only made! Impress us!

Bumping this...not so much for any additional conversation on the fakes but HOPING for an update on the Mar family returning to the American knife scene or to hear again from RyAnne (???)

No posts since April 2014... :(

I'm also interested.

My first acquaintance with Al Mar knives was at a mall kiosk knife shop in Santa Fe, NM, in the middle 80s. I bought a Mar Quicksilver at that time and loved it. Carried it until I discovered Spydercos in 1990. I still have the Quicksilver although it's a lot worse for wear these days.

YEah I wish the MAR family would release something.. i would love to see some of AL MARS hidden designs come back into the market.. I cant image why it would take so long with their connections I am sure they could make it happen.. One of these day it would be great even on a small scale..

The day the shadow returns will be the day knifedom reawakens hungry for some real serious mar action.
