Can anyone make this folder?

I know there are knife makers who will build a fixed blade to customer specs but I find it impossible to locate a maker to do the same for a folder. I know there are inherent problems like the blade fitting into the handle but a couple of back and forth design changes could fix that up.

Can anyone build this for me? I would gladly pay good-ole US dollars. And please don't bash me for stealing this, or copying that, simply point me in the right direction to buy one already made.

I'm really just looking for a similar blade shape in either a frame or liner lock flipper that could cut relatively flat on a surface without the handle getting in the way.

That's very similar to a kershaw needs works imo...

Check one out, they have the ergo's you're looking for.

Looks sorta like Sniper Bladeworks.

Thanks guys.

I think the Needs Work needs work. It looks broken but probably functions okay. JYD2 is also close but won't do quite what I'm looking for.

The only thing I could find as far as the Sniper goes is the Boker S2 collaboration but I think the flipper gets in the way just a little too much. I'm also not a fan of the scale design but in the end I may just have to pick one up.

Yep. I saw the Tilt when I was checking out the other recommendations and although not a modified wharncliffe I thought I should pick one up just the same. How does it feel in the hand?

Any makers take commissions?

Thanks

Might contact peter r. He might be able to help you out, and his stuff is gorgeous. Bear in mind, you're likely to be paying a premium if you want a custom though.

It's similar to a Boker Trance although the handle angle to the blade isn't quite the same. Plus its a framelock, has a flipper, and is thin. It's a great bang for the buck at <$30.

Alan Davis says he may be able to make the knife for me. I love his work and I'm stoked! I did find this however:22896f3838f8089f3521d37d8a41b0e8.jpeg

Really cool knife from a great maker but availability seems nil. Also, the prosect of getting a "custom" custom made has me giddy.
