Not all Buck knives are made in the USA. Most of their traditional slipjoint patterns are made in China, last time I checked. The only knives that I own that aren't USA made are some Opinels, SAKs, and a couple Lionsteel Barlows.
Bang for the Buck? Just my opinion, but I have to say Buck knives. Relatively inexpensive for the quality, made in USA, and lifetime, no bs warranty.

Buck was trying to back out of its Chinese models, last I heard, and return more of that production to the US. Completely off the point, I came across a 303 I had never seen before, gathering dust an crud in a drawer full of sewing stuff, left behind by a woman who was in such a hurry to leave town she left me with two dumpsters (so far) of her pointless accumulations.I remember seeing that the Chinese made Buck were made in the same factory as RR. That was over a decade ago, so I do not know if that was or still is true.
