Anyone read this series? Robert the Bruce Trilogy: Steps to an Empty Throne, Path of the Hero King, Price of Kings Peace

Ben Lilly Tales of Bears and Lions (supposedly the autobiography, I have the biography)

Gone to Texas by Forrest Carter (Outlaw Josey Wales based on this book, loved the movie)

Bubba Ho Tep by Joe Landsdale (saw the movie, liked it)
 
You mean The Bruce Trilogy by Nigel Tranter? It is a great series and really good history in the bargain. But then, so are all of his books.
