My thought on this idea requires a little explanation. Here goes:
The WSK patern was a solution to a problem that didn't exist. If you want a knife, you carry a knife, if you want a hatchet or chopper, carry a chopper. When a knife design attempts to be a jack of all trades, it is never a master of one. I have handled many WSK variants and I never liked the short saw teeth section, the thick grind or the ergonomics. This knife isn't one that ranks high on my list and these thoughts are just my opinion.
That being said, I don't see the purpose of a (I'm assuming sub 4" blade) version of a knife that was originally sold as one with weight forward to act like a hatchet. Decreasing the amount of mass would limit its chopping ability. Overall, the small sharpened sections and small serrated section would have extremely limited use in the field.
My suggestion, get a decent sub 4-5" fixed blade (BRKT, RAT, GOSSMAN, MORA, FALLKNIVEN, KOSTER, ETC. ETC), a SAK Farmer and a Fiskars. You will have a true fixed blade utilitarian knife, a pocket knife with the best wood saw on the face of planet and a great hatchet for a fraction of the cost of a custom.
The other suggestion is get what you want since it is your knife but remember the words of advice from you fellow forum members after you use it for a while.
