yeah its snakeskin....
no "major" damage just use. Its INFI. I'm not sure anything but a sledge hammer, dynamite could damage it. also the serration pattern is different. I can't seem to find a pic to compare. Were ARK's made with different serration patterns?

Yes, If you look at the pics above you will see that two of the knives have the serrations on the right hand side of the blade and there are 4 of them. Mine has 5 serrations on the left hand side of the blade.

they're definatly flatter, like the flying tigger serrations. different but effective I'm sure.

oh man, i think i might have gotten a desert ARK.....the serrations patterns on the desert ARK are flat, and the patterns on the regular black ARKs are pointy.....
when you look at the pics i've posted, the serrations match those found on the desert ARK......

All of my black coated ARKs had the same serration pattern your knife shows. They all had snakeskin micarta as well. Likely yours was black. I wonder if it is my old user, killed me selling that one. But it was either that or sell the desert one, well you can see which way I went with that decision. This is one of the very few knives I own with serrations that I like. I cut tons of carpet and stuff with my user and those serrations tore the crap out of stuff. They are very sharp and very easy to sharpen, even only using a strop.
