Hello I have got an italian flick knife (I think) opened it is 11" inches long on the blade is stamped "INOX" on one side and on the other "PATENT" it has a slide lock. brass insides (where the blade is housed) and the handle looks like horn I was told it was an italian 1960's stiletto knife. Can anyone tell me what exactly I have please any info will be gratefully received thank you

Welcome to the forum inox patent.

Am I correct, is this an auto? Might be better in automatic forum.
Pics?

I can only chime in to say that "INOX" just means that it uses stainless steel.

Other than that I don't know.

You'll probably have to post some pictures, there were so many being imported from Italy back then that it could be a multitude of brands and quality levels.

The real story here is that this guy chose his username based on the first question he had.

Also, INOX is a steel used by dozens of companies that make stilettos of highly varying value and quality. Honestly, even with pictures, it's a bit of a crapshoot to try to identify a vintage stiletto with no brand markings.
