Ok I was at a local sale today and was looking at an axe and a few old knives this old timer had, we started talking. Well he ask me "you like hi-dalla knives?" I said "lets see what you have," it was a bunch of pocket knives some nice stuff but I'm just not into that. Well the last knife he pulled out, the very last one was a Schatt and Morgan by Queen knives. I can't seem to find anything on this knife it was a buffalo handle with mother of pearl inlaid shield. He said it was polished 1095 carbon it didn't look like carbon more like SS of some sort. It was a very large pocket knife. The main blade kinda looked like the Schatt & Morgan's Wildcat Whittler but I don't think this had anything on the blade. Also I think it was just a two bladed knife.
I didn't really want another pocket knife and he was asking 130 for it didn't want to spend that on some old pocket knife. But after looking at it several times it seem like a good deal I guess but I just didn't want another pocket knife. Well long story short I walked away, well now I can't stop thinking about this knife. I want this knife it's drove me crazy for the last 8 hours!
I don't know anything of Schatt & Morgan; does anyone have-em, know anything of them and what is the steel. And if you know what knife this is with what little description i can give, I'd really like to know and what it's worth.

Thank you

That knife sounds like its from one of the Schatt and Morgan annual series, about 600 of each knife made with a set of 6-7 knives released each year starting in 1991.

The series with buffalo horn handles and pearl shields was made post 2000 maybe 2001 or 2002 but I do not recall exactly.

Schatt & Morgan Annual Series #12, 100th anniversary edition, made for 2002. Sounds like the elephant toenail is the one you saw.

Good call, guys, I thought of the same one. How about a pic?

I'm going to try to find this guy it's looked like a nice knife and felt real good in the hand. If I can find it again I'll post up some pic of it. One more thing anyone have one here?
Again much thanks!!

EDITED TO ADD:

If you just wanted to see images of those particular knives belonging to our other members, that's perfectly okay and my apologies for making the "leap" to my prior assumption. Thanks for your understanding.
