Goat meat is good James!
When I was about 12 my baseball team had a barbeque and the coach had a whole goat on a spit, it was called cabrita. That was in Del Rio Texas. Man was that some good eatin.
 
Tastes a little better than a donkey does.
(must use garlic to cook it.) :D
 
Never ate goat.............we did BBQ a ground hog though and it was pretty good eating.
 
I've had some beaver. Furry little things, but pretty tasty.:eek: :confused: :barf: Sorry. But I really have had some beaver, it tasted like rabbit. I like goat cheese though. But that's not the subject. I am going to stop typing now.
 
Goat tastes quite a bit like lamb only perhaps a bit stronger. If you like a good strong goat cheese, you will really enjoy goat. I have had goat curry many times in the Caribbean and have always enjoyed it. I guess some of the taste will depend on the age and quality of the goat.
 
I had a sister-in-law from Jamaica who made curried goat that tasted as good as any meat I've ever eaten. I've also had it in a restaurant and it was good there too, but nothing to match hers.
