Hi all.
I have a carbon steel 'cutlass' blade that I banged out when I was young enough to swing a hammer.
I never did get a chance to temper it, and I'l love to finish it before I drop dead.
Is there someone who can temper it for me? I'm in California, if that helps. Northern.
I'm disabled, so I cannot afford the 'full polish' treatment, but just a clay edge temper? Would that be expensive? I can sand on it and bring out the hamon.. would be sweet!
But if only a 'general hard spring temper... whatever.
I have only made a small few swords and this is one of my first.
So, what do y'll think?
Is there someone who might be able to extend the service?
