Can Benchmade Osbornes 921 & 941 blades be switched?

I really like the 921 Switchback but don't like that both blades are essentially the same shape. Anyone know if I can take the blade from a 941 Osborne and put it into the 921 instead?

I've actually seen a black 921 Switchback (black handle and black blades) that had a black 941 style main blade instead of its usual wharncliffe main blade at Paragon Sporting goods in NYC. I don't know if it's a special edition or what because I've not seen it anywhere on the net. Too expensive at that store for me to buy though.

That's a limited run BM did for Taurus (the gun company), and they're marked Taurus as well as BM. Its model number 923.

It's not a 940 blade, it's a 940 shaped blade re-engineered for the 921 frame.The bad news is, it's only available in combo edge, no plain main blade. The good news is, if you like combo edges, they seem to go pretty cheap in the secondary market, even new - it just seems to be one of those not-so-much love models. So check thE bay, etc.
 
I see I'm not the only one who noticed the lack of "love" for that model.

Another example of a good idea that just hasn't caught on.
 
Ortho, if they made that sucker with a plain edge, I'd own one. I'm just not a combo edge guy.

Thanks for the info Nick. Too bad about the Taurus. I don't like that it's a black blade either.
