Can blades warp during annealing

I annealed an O1 steel blank a while ago and after hollow grinding the bevels.. I realized that the tip portion didn't quite anneal correctly and I can't flat grind the tip with my filing jig for a compound grind unless I soften it somehow.

So my question is, if I anneal the blank with hollow ground primary bevels with the cutting edge still being about 2mm thick, are there any chances of the blade warping?
I'm a new knife maker and this is only my second knife that I'm gonna complete.. So any advice is appreciated.

It should be OK. Even if it warps, it will be annealed ... so it can just be bent straight.

How are you annealing it? From my experiences, depending on the thickness, O1 will harden when left to cool off in air.

I ran some simulations a while ago on my piece and for something with a thickness of around 1/10 inch, air cooling (radiation and natural convection) should have a curve similar to the rightmost blue line in the graph below.

Thanks for the info.
I'm sorry I should've mentioned that it's 1/4" thick and I'm gonna dunk it in a bucket full of wood ash after getting it to nonmagnetic and let cool for a few hours

1/4 would probably still harden but to a much lesser extent. It definitely softens up enough to be worked easily with a file if you wrap it with kaowool. Not quite sure about the wood ash though but good luck.

That will get it soft enough to file, if not fully annealed.
