Ohh happy day. Two of my most admired makers. Not always my style, but favorite makers none the less. Innovative guys. Someday I'm gonna try a Todd Begg knockoff handle. Someday when I'm all grow'ed up.

Steve, I just saw this thread (was away since Thurs.) and I gotta tell you...you are no doubt a knifemaker ! And remember, I've seen your stuff up close and in person. You do beautiful work and some of the knives you've sent Tess, I haven't wanted her to send back. As far as this "grinding" thing. That's how I started, alot of other fellows too, before ever picking up a hammer. You go for it, I look forward to seeing the title change and I'm very proud to be one of your freinds, on your site and in real life.

i became a knife maker the day i sold my first knife! and i mean my knife! thats the diff to me. if you ground it or forged it! you are a maker. if you buy preground blades and put handles on them, well! then your a handler?:D
 
Steve we are all just guys making refined versions of mankinds first tool... Its not rocket science, but can seem like it sometimes;)
I dont think you should have any reservations about calling yourself a Knifemaker..:)
 
Steve, I like your knives and you seem dedicated enough to hang in this craft until you are a household name. I say go for it. BTW I havent paid my knifemaker dues yet. Im just a basic kinda guy.
