Being laid up and not able to make knives has got me really wanting to give something away and give back to the community that has always been there for me. and so i was thinking of giving away a bunch of 303 stainless for guards. This is premo high quality 303 that we use for electron microscope parts we make. when i say a bunch i mean a bunch. i will have to see how much i can round up and part with. is this a good idea, if it is i will start a new post with the details.

I don't think I can say no! :) I think that if you are comfortable with giving it away, I say go for it.

Jt I think it would be a great idea!!! and its also very generious of you to do something like that, hope your wounds are healing, Charlie

Nice thought. I'm sure many folks would love it. I missed the end results of your tang stamp give away. What ever happened? Good luck with a speedy and full recovery.

It's a good idea, but I think that a maker who does not make a lot of knifes will have your "bunch" of 303 laying around for years. It will be more useful and will make more people happy if you give away several small lots of it to the makers who are willing to cover shipment costs.

Especially for those of us who have been laid off from work give-a-ways are always appreciated.

Yes, JT. Make it a 303% stimulus package. Have it delivered by Bubba Doll in person, too. That would be stimulating, too.:D

I will split it up into as many lots as i can. that way more people can get some.

If there are still numbers available I'd like 1,692,457. Thanks!

Oh, and if anyone is going to change their avatar, warn us. I was wondering who this new guy was with the hair and ammo.

Holy shitake mushrooms! Nearly every day I get reminded why I'm gad I don't do TV. Actually, who needs to when there's this place to hang out?!

But... but... it's Sean Connery at his ... worst? nah i think i'll reserve his 'worst' for highlander 2, but it's pretty bad =P

Sorry for the derailment !
