I posted this to the Benchmade forum but have not received and replies so I thought I would try here. I am trying to find out what steel these knives used for the blade and when they were produced? I have tried a internet search and found similar but not these. They are two of what was offered as a three knife set by J.Samson I believe.

I'm not sure, but that doesn't seem like legitimate Benchmade work to me. If I'm correct, information on them will probably be very sparse. Good luck on your search!

My guess is 8a or ats34 japan origin al mar design,I have the same problem with a few of my knives
