Thanks Mike. This is as far as I got today,tough going when you have nothing but a couple of small files and a bit of sandpaper( even a vice would help), taking shape though eh !

YO Pit, A C-clamp can be the base of an impromptu vise,
...or just two boards bolted together will be enough vise for you.
