Can I have this fixed please?

All I know is that Dann does an awesome and even handed job here. He does not deserve the grief. Never have even seen a hint of favoritism from him.
He puts way too much effort in trying to keep a level playing field in the exchange forums to have to put up with some of the comments made here.

The mods here do have lives, jobs, families. The same types of responsibilities that all of us have. They put a lot of time in here because of one thing. They believe in the community that has been established here. Seeing it grow and become stronger over time is why they put in that time and effort.

answering questions do not count as a bump per the rules, correct?

a bump is when you make a post without a price drop or without responding to a question/post by another member.

this has always been a bit confusing.
 
Here it is, guys:

A BTTT with no other content can be posted 72 hours after the last post the OP makes. A post with content, like pictures, new prices, or an answer to a question, can be posted any time, but the 72 hour clock starts running again from that post, not from the last empty BTTT.
 
Gravelface, you make some strong accusations in this thread about moderator favortism.

I would like to see the evidence. Links to threads, ect.

On another note, we do have a chain of command here. if you cannot resolve your differences with a moderator, you can ask a super to help you. This is best done in PM or email. DO NOT air it in the open, because if you cross the line, you will be in trouble for that as well as the original infraction.

BE RESPECTFUL of the staff. We are volunteers here, with a great deal to do keeping this forum up and running trouble free. We don't get paid, nor do we get free stuff from Spark. We get the satisfaction of helping keep our community trouble free, and as humans, we make mistakes.

Answering questions or posting pictures IS a bump. It just happens to be a bump that is permitted less than 72 hours after the original poster's last post.
 
Perhaps I need to rewrite the rules that the OP is not allowed to make any posts within 72 hours from the last post. Questions should be handled by PM & edited into the original post, as well as price drops.

As for "favoritism" - don't mistake ignorance of someone doing wrong with our deliberately allowing it to happen. I personally do not approve of people selling items for non-paying members; the bills here are too high for me to allow it.
 
First, let me please explain my late response to all of this. I caught my wife with another man and am currently going through a divorce. I just needed some time to get my thoughts together and my mind past the B#@&h. Pardon my french. I try to be a man of honor and integrity. Thus said, I want to make it very clear that my silence was not me running from this problem at hand. Just had a lot on my mind. Many members have emailed me in the last three weeks and know the details of my marital problem. My intentions are not to spill them out here in this thread.

So here it is. I wasn't thinking clearly with my mind being weighed down by these marital issues and did act in error by posting the pm messages here. My relating glockman's behavior to "typical mod behavior" was wrong on my part. I know very well that there are many good mods in these forums. I have even traded with and sold to quite a few mods here and have found them men of honesty and integrity. Mods, you have my sincere apologies. In fact I wish I could apologize face to face.

As for my pms to glockman I should have been more clear on what I wanted and made it clear that I was confused of the wording of the 72 hour no bump rule. I apologize, glockman, for the harsh pm and wish to thank you for not banning me.

I also want to clarify that I do not sell or trade for friends. My last few sales were sold for money orders. They were my knives, but I had the money orders made out to a friend who is in need of financial help. My knife sales are as legit as I can make them.

Thanks to all in this thread who helped to clarify the for sale rule in question. If I can clarify anything else regarding the situation at hand please feel at liberty to email me.
