Can I make a sodbuster cut as well as an opinel?

When I first got serious about sharpening these two knives, sod buster and opinel, as well as the victorinox paring knives were my practice knives. Throw is a coupleading cheap kershaw and I got pretty good without mangling any nice knives.

Good thinking Russ. I've got a few cheap hand-me-down veggie/butcher knives in a drawer rusting away.
