Can I pack my EDC in My checked Luggage?

I would be careful to clean my bag to insure it has no traces of nitro-based propellents.

That's very good advice. Airports are increasingly using various explosive-detection devices including dogs. Those machines are increasingly sensitive. If you frequently get gun powder or residue on your hands or on your cloths, you need to be careful to keep that off of and out of your traveling baggage to avoid any unnecessary delays or hassles.

When you board a commercial aircraft, the things you bring with you can affect the safety of all of the people, maybe as many as 500, aboard the plane, and also many more on the ground whom you and your plane might fall on. Therefore, it is necessary, especially in these troubled times, to check out those things. I may not like having some "security guard" rummaging through my luggage, but I am even more disturbed at the possibility of them NOT looking through somebody else's luggage that will also be on my flight.

I only trust you and me. And I'm beginning to have my doubts about you.

If you are unwilling to submit to inspection, then you have three options: don't fly, learn to fly for yourself and get your own plane, or charter a private flight.

The TSA has no procedures in place to deal with employee theft. Good luck in dealing with this problem.:(

I, personally, only fly with inexpensive knives. ;)
