Right now I am working on my first knife, it is ATS-34 and I was just wondering who I could send it out to, to get heat treated and tempered?
I am looking for a reliable company that will give it the proper hardness.
and if I start building out of 1084 or 1095 before I can get everything to heat treat can them be sent out to the same place?

thanks for any help.

Thanks for the link.

it says to write the desired rockwell hardness, is there a certain hardness people go with?

I would send the knife to Texas Knife Supply unless you're making enough to meet Paul's minimum. Nothing wrong with either place, just cheaper to send small orders to Texas.

I'm pretty sure TKS shoots for HRC59-60. This is a good spot for most knives. If you have a specific hardness you are after, I think they'll do it for a few bucks more.
