Can I re-heat treat and temper a blade?

I have an 01 blade i just heat treated and tempered. I did the file test and its scratching. Is it possible to re-heat treat?

If you tempered it a file should scratch it. You may have to elaborate on your ht process a bit more to get a good answer to your question.

There may be a decarb layer also. How did you HT it.
