Can I remove the "blood grooves" on my knife??

I think that perhaps I misunderstood the original post.

The groove and the holes are purely ornamental. They are not big enough to do any serious lightening or balance adjustment.

That depends on how big they are! The MoD's fullers sure won't help much, but in a large fixed blade fighter a sizeable fuller can change a blade's balance from "forward-heavy" to "perfectly balanced".
