Personally, I would never do that, but some people like to beat the crap out of their EDC and ship it back to CRK for a day at the spa. Only costs roughly $25 (depending how much work it requires) but to each their own. I use the leather pouch for my sebs and I got a medium William Henry slip case for my mnandi. Only problem mine have is pocket lint :D

So do you clip the case to your pocket? Guess that would solve the slip case that CRK included having to be taken out, then the knife taken out.

Problem I have with the clip on the knife is it is hard to get on/off when clipped to the pants I wear. :-(
 
You could have a nice belt sheath made for your knife. But hey if you want to ding up your knife, go for it, use it as you please.;)

Yes and that's why I like it so much. I also find the clip a little strong, you would have to replace it with a insert bit ($23 IIRC) plus about $25 for the clip case so it's not a cheap option.
 
I went to take the slip off but after loosening the screw a couple turns it hits a spot and won't turn anymore. I don't want to force it/break it in case I decide to put the clip back in.

Any suggestions?

Def. going to go the belt case custom, the included slip case, or the william henry slip case route, just not sure which yet. With any though I will likely want to take the clip off....but that screw doesn't want to come out!!!

Also, is there a web store I can order the insert from? Just noticed CRK's site doesnt' have anything other than a print and mail/fax form!
 
You may want to lightly tap on the screw, that may help. Either you force out the screw or send it in to CRK but somtimes just a little wiggle will help get that screw out. As for the insert, I think you have to contact and pay to CRK directly in order to have one sent to you. Good luck.;)
 
I've been EDC a website small sebenza for over a year using the clip. It still looks like new. Just need to blow out the pocket crud once in a while.
