Can psychics really see the past/future?

This makes me think of one of my favorite "Words of Wisdom": Don't believe any of that crap you see on TV.
To me Psychics are just well paid Panhandlers.
 
but I also think most of these "psychics" are frauds. I wouldn't be surprised if there were a small percentage of people who really could "see" events. But would that be a blessing or a curse? Would you want to advertise that? I would put psychics in the same group as ghosts, astral projection and what-have-you. Most of what you hear is going to be BS. But in another 100 years, who knows? Maybe science will "discover" the frequency of psychic vibrations and prove it (or disprove) all of it.

It seems that no one here beleives in psychics, however the majority of people beleive in religions which portray mirracles, prophets ( aka psychics ) and all sorts of supernatural stuff. I find this strangely selective.
I am an Atheist and do not subscribe to either.
 
There are some things in this world that defy scientific explanation. However, the number of charlatans far out number them.

If you've ever seen a psychic go out of business, you know the answer is "no."

btw,
when i first saw this thread, i thought it asked if 'physics" could see the past/future. better chance there.
 
The events of 9/11 shook the world. If anything had the power to send reverberations through the space/time continuum (or whatever) it would have been that outrage.

Predictions? None.

I know if I ever found that I had that ability, I would be the sole winner in many games of chance... Bwahahahahaha!!! :D ;)
 
The really frustrating thing about "psychics" calling the police with "helpful information" about a crime is that the police pretty much have to follow up on it, since they never know if the person is "really" a psychic just making crap up, or if it's someone who knows some inside information about the crime pretending to be psychic and calling in real information.
 
same guy, same question, different forum- over on selfdefenseforums.com, and he got shut down pretty quickly...

I do beleive that some people have good intuitions. But does that make them psychic.......NO!!!!!!!!!!
