Can someone explain this to me please (strange overpriced knife)

The tri-fold knife that I had (probably still lying around somewhere) required 3 steps to be done with thumb and fingers to open. This knife requires a fast wave of the hand and is much smoother = faster.

Like I said, not my thing, but it is an interesting and truly innovative knife. How often do we see a real innovation in the knife world?
 
the concept of having a folding knife with a lock design that wont close on your fingers is great... if it was $100 or less i wouldnt mind pounding on one for shits and giggles.
 
That thing is just plain goofy.

I bet the vid in post #2 is a prank they pulled on the new guy.
 
In any case, regardless of price, this knife would still be classified as a gravity knife in jurisdictions that ban switch blades (since they usually also ban gravity knives), so that makes it pretty pointless.
