Can someone identify this weed

When I have a plant, weed or tree I need to get rid of and it keeps coming back up, I give it an application of Round Up. Works every time. Just follow the directions and also be careful it doesn't get on any plants you don't want killed.

Yeah, that's the reason I was asking if it was on a central root system for all of the plants. Just gotta roundup one and the rest get it through the root system.

That looks like Autumn Olive (also known as autumn berry, silverberry, aki-gumi, and oleaster)

They are all over around here. Are there white specles on the fruit? They are delicious. I pick them for my daughter's lunch.

FWIW I never spray - I think spraying is just plain nuts. I have eradicated literally tons of Amur/bush honeysuckle. NO Spraying. I simply cut the stalk close to the ground and level. Then use an eyedropper to apply Roundup right on the stump - regaredless of its size. Has worked great. Pile the fresh cut stuff to dry for a week and it burns fine. Good luck.
 
I took out two more great big trees and part of a third before it got too dark to see today. It's growing around a bunch of cedar trees right now so my thinking is, cut it down as far as possible and let the shade from the cedar trees kill it. Also, I sprayed a couple of smaller ones with some kind of weed killer I found laying around, we'll see what that does.
 
Bamboo can be gotten rid of by digging up the ENTIRE rhizome system but this takes a good deal of hard digging and even a tiny bit of rhizome will regenerate. I have had success by cutting down all the culms then being very vigilant for the next couple of years and breaking off new shoots ASAP, preferably before they leaf out and begin to photosynthesize, thus starving the plant by making it use energy to send up shoots and not allowing it to replenish with photosynthesis. Spring and fall are the most prolific times for new shoots. If you have a running type rather than clumping be sure to look MUCH farther afield than seems reasonable as they can run amazing distances between shoots.

I don't like to use chemicals and I don't broadcast spray either... my use of Roundup involves the little 20 oz. pump spray bottle from the hardware store. I carefully spray it on individual leaves from about an inch away. If you apply it to several leaves, it will kill the plant with no danger of getting the stuff all over the place. The one little bottle will last you a long, long time.

In the old days, GWashington only cut down cherry trees.
