can someone please describe the wave feature on commander...

i've heard alot about this and am curious as to how this is supposed to be the fastest deploying blade(according to emerson knives)how does it work? just curious...thanx

Shawn, the wave is a small hook on the blade of the Commander. It's formed when the thumb ramp is cut back to allow the opeing disc to be attached. When the material is removed a small forward-facing hook is created. When you draw the Commander out of your pocket this hook-the wave-catches on the pants material (at the seam) and opens the blade. So as fast as you can pull the knife out of your pocket is as fast as it will open. Lot's of fun! But don't do it in front of sheeple or LEOs. Hope this helps.
