Can someone please explain this craziness to me?

Wow ... I had that one saved on my watch list but I deleted it when I saw it get over 600 ... I could see what was coming! Nice knife though ... when you want something and there is no other way to get it, it is worth as much as you are willing to pay for it I guess (I overpaid a little for a CG I bought last week after all ... nothing this crazy though). If it was sent to the spa and not disclosed I would be royally pissed!

Lots of disposable money for safe queens I guess..

I really have to talk myself into paying the going prices for new anymore..Just so many other things I would rather tie my $ up in than something that is going to sit in my safe.

I'd be royally pissed had I purchased a knife under the impression it was new/unused as opposed to refurbished. Actually, I'd back out of the sale based on an omission like that, if it's true.

How do you know it was sent in for a spa treatment? I can't find any mention of that in the linked to thread.
.

I don't know what others sources are, but it was at the spa. I had a PM conversation with a guy on USN(didn't know him and have since deleted his messages) and he told me this knife was at the spa . We were talking about another knife he was looking for that I thought I had seen. Yesterday threads didn't ring a bell and I didn't think much about it until I saw the link. The description is almost word for word how he described the knife at the spa to me. Believe the blade was polished and can't remember what else was being done. We were mostly talking about the other knife and swedges as well as availability of the polished blade.

To be fair I should add- The guy seemed to be a nice enough guy and interested in the knives and we had a very good conversation. He also very likely could be a member here-seems like most of the USN CRK fans have a presence here also. I can't agree with the way it was listed though.

A knife knut bought a knife he/she wanted. That is what knife knuts do. If they spent more than you would have...it's not your concern. I say congratulations to him/her.
