Hello, I own a Domino and would like to take the current clip that comes on it and shoot it into the deep dark depths of out space. I hate it. I am looking for a replacement lowrider clip that has been proven to fit and has a nice fit and finish. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you all and get 'em sharp.

I like the clip it comes with as I don't mind non lowriding clips. It is like the clip on GB, shouldn't STR's Ti lowrider for the hourglass clip fit? Not 100% sure, but more will chime in.

The Southard's clip though I'd like to shoot into space :p

I personally like STR clips and I bet they would look real good on the Domino. They aren't cheap, but they are nice. I have one that has been on a Native 5, PM2 and a GB with no problems.

I should be getting an STR lowrider cut for the Gayle Bradley, which is hopefully the screw pattern Spyderco used for the Domino. I'll let you know how it goes in a few days.

Keep us posted. I'll be ordering one too if it fits alright. STR said he wouldn't be picking up any new custom jobs, so if it doesn't fit, we're out of luck for now.

STR posted about Domino:
It doesn't much matter. I have the pattern but first timers always mail me the knife. I have to see it the first time to make any notes of idiosync or layout issues I may have to contend with. There are many with lock cuts on the outside like that I simply won't mess with if they snag pockets once the clip is on. Some are just not worth the hassle to make them work. Lanayard holes and screw sizes all vary also so I need to see them to get all my notes for future models. One of you guys will have to do that later tho because right now I'm not taking on any new custom jobs. I'm only doing the routine stuff and my prybars after this latest nutnfancy vid update on my mini ti pry. I've got prybars going out of here daily again from his fan base and last time I rode out the nutnfancy wave when he brought up my min prybar I was surfing that popularity buzz for a year. We'll see how long his tsunami lasts this time.

I posted a similar thread, I just want to see someone screw an STR they have from a PM2 onto the Domino and take some pics, and give some feedback.

Comments about fitment: It kind of covers the very edge of the lanyard hole, this could easily be remedied with some file work (first pic). Where the clip contacts the handle is very close to the lockbar cutout, so the clip is extra grabby because it really grips between the cutout and the pocket seam (second pic). I've seen some comments on whether makers put the lockbar cutout facing in or out and this is one of the issues that brought up- snaggy cutout shapes and pockets. I prefer the cutouts facing in, but it seems to go about 50/50 with makers. Lastly, it could be darker in color.

For me the clip is totally fine, but some people may want it slightly modified to miss the lanyard hole and maybe angled to miss the lockbar cutout. If enough people want it changed, maybe STR will do a custom run.

It helps a lot with the feeling that the Domino takes up too much pocket space. It falls deeper into a pocket in such a way that your hand touches the curved part of the handle and it feels really smooth.

Edit: I remedied the lockbar cutout issue by bending the clip to the side slightly. No hangup in the pocket now.
