Can someone post pics of a stripped Team Gemini ??.

I think that we would all like to see pics of that.

If you had stripped a blade and found that gray finish under the coating, that is the decarb layer. I'm guessing you blued that?

The TGLB had minimal to no decarb under it. The decarb won't blue. I posted pics before, but I'm not at my normal computer. I'll try to post it tonight.

INFI won't take blueing.

Oh Really ?

Sorry that may be wrong. :)

Also Just FYI, it was stripped then scotchbrite finished a bunch, I am 100% sure there was no decarb on it.

 That came out AWESOME Dave!!!!

Love that color! Kinda reminds me of one of my favorite 1911's! :D

Do you think SR-101 would take Bluing too?

Well, that's very interesting. So then where did we get the received wisdom that INFI won't blue?

Don't know ? I just gave it a try and voila it came out almost black, I did 3 or 4 coats or treatments of Berchwood Casey cold blue

What do you mean Jerry Busse's not black?
I'm sure I met him at Blade years ago and he was black…

About 6'7", Thin, talked funny…it's kind of hard to remember because it's been so long since I've seen him at a Blade Show or talked to him on the phone :(

Yup, that's him

Why does the other not have the milled out handle? I thought all TGLB's had the milled out handle? It appears as if the other doesn't. Aside from taking the handles off is there a way to tell if a TGLB is milled out like that? (Aside from holding it and feeling the difference.)

Yes. Original TG's have a convex ground blade that blends into the saber 'flat' more than TGLB's, and they have a v-ground edge. The originals are not "Light Brigade", they are just Team Gemini's, full tang. The fuller is also a little narrower, less pronounced.
Edited To Add: If I recall correctly, TGLB's are approximately two thirds the weight of an original TG (Oooops! ...1/3rd of a pound lighter, my bad!), the reason behind the milled out handle & hollow ground blades with slightly larger fullers on the TGLB.

These may help you see the differences a little better without that pesky coating in the way. :) Original TG's in satin finish by the Custom Shop.
