Or should i say WILL Spyderco fix this?

I know they do fix leaning baldes with handles with screws. But can they with riveted SS models like the SS Police?

If the blade is not hitting either side, my guess is that it is within spec probably not.

It's hitting one side. You can hear the scrape when opening and closing.

The labor cost of dismantling a pinned construction knife and putting it back together would likely be more than the cost of a new knife. If it is grinding against the side during operation, not just touching the side at rest, I'd say it should be replaced under warranty if you bought it new. That is just my opinion, and I have no authority to speak for Spyderco, but I have seen them replace a number of knives that I thought they should have returned with a note that said "We can't fix stupid, so it isn't covered by warranty."

Well before i wrote this I contacted spyderco warranty and explained everything in detail and asked them if this is something they can fix.

The email i got in return from Spyderco seemed like it was a sort of form letter (which looks to me one they send everybody with a warranty question- irregardless of the question):

"Please send in your knife for warranty evaluation, without looking at the knife we can't determine if it’s a warranty issue or if your knife can be repaired.

When you send your knife in please include a check, cash, or money order for $5 S&H fee, a note stating the problem you are having with your knife, along with your name, return address (no P.O. Box please unless you are Military or outside the US ) and phone number you can be reached at. If your knife is covered under warranty your $5 will be returned. Here is a link to our warranty page http://spyderco.com/edge-u-cation/index.php?item=10

Unless there is a problem we do not notify you upon arrival or departure of your knife. We are currently at about a 2-3 week turn around. Spyderco cannot be responsible for items that do not arrive to us. When mailing your package you should send it in a box (knives have a way of working out of bubble mailers)."

Since i didn't want to waste paying for shipping, insurance, tracking ect just to find out. I thought i would ask here if they even can fix this sort of thing. I told them it was SS Police model and asked if they could fix a leaning blade on this model. I also told them the blade is touching the side and scraping the inside of the handle. And i got back this generic reply. So I thought i would ask here if anyone had expereince sending in a leaning blade on a SS model with rivets.

That being said. I sent the knife to them today. Hopefully they can fix.

Is this the one that you sold me, that had sentimental value to you because you had carried it through several countries, that I enjoyed very much and did not want to re-sell to you, but I did because I am a most awesome and humble guy? That knife?
