Can the Knife-Gods here tell me why the VG-10 on my Spyderco is divine?

Solid advice. Don't buy one! I did and see what happened:

(OK, some of them are not VG10)

And I also have a Al Mar SERE in VG10. Good steel in my opinion and experience. Keeps an edge for a long time and is fairly easy to resharpen.

And on topic - I love VG10 for stainless more than any other stainless.
 
I apologize for going off topic. I thought about it first and decide that since it was Ancient Philosophy who originally started this thread and then threw in some of his own politics, then I was staying inside the boundaries that he was setting.

Thanks, Crustaceanmick, but I didn't take issue with your post at all. It was Ancient-Philosophy's post that I felt was not appropriate for the thread. You were just seeting him straight, as far as I could see. :)
