Can the SENTRY Xpress 4.0 Micro Processor Orton Kiln be used for knife making?

Can this kiln be used for knife making? I'm a new knife maker trying to get started. A friend who has done art with glass has this kiln he is selling. Is it a waste of money to buy used? Can it be used for knife making? What are alternative options in Canada?

What size is it? From what I can find, its a front opening correct? It should be fine to use it for heat treating but be careful your blades don't touch the elements or you can short out the system. Where in Canada are you?
 
Hi there,

I'm located in Northern Ontario Canada. I'm looking to save as much money as I can and this is the only used oven I can find in the area. It's a decent size probably only useful for shorter type knives.
