Can this be salvaged?

Well needless to say, I'm an idiot. I didn't have the scale clamped down properly when countersinking on the drill press. I was thinking of doing a pattern of some sorts, but just can't think of anything. This is black CF and blue g10 by the way. I really like the glossy finish, but I would change that if it could be salvaged.

Hard to see in the pic, you mean the pivot countersink? If so you might be able to use a 82deg. counter sink and feather the edge. Worst case as long as you've got liners you could use another material for bolsters.

I've never worked with the material but..... Could you use a rivet drill or a brad point to run a square side counter sink then use a thin washer under your pivot? Or can you get a pivot screw with a larger head that will cover the dings on the scales?

Yeah, sorry about that. I meant the pivot countersink. I like both of those ideas. I'll have to think about those. I just had an idea for a small pattern that would cover up the blemish; a "candy stripe" if you will. Does anyone have a mill or something similar to do this with?
