Can This Be True ?

So, how is it that these two knives are similar? They might be close to the same size, but I'd venture to say that the Buck 124 has less mass. If I were to pick one Buck knife for the trek around humid environments, it would most certainly be the 124. I have found that the handle is just slightly big for my hands. What I do like about the knife is the the solid full tang construction. I believe this to be the sole full tang offering within the current Buck line, but I may be incorrect.

The Wauseon knife in the photo (nice pic by any stroke of the imagination) is a tougher, more durable blade if you are going to beat on it like a rented mule. If you have any type of prying on the agenda, feel free to appropriate Jerry's blade in such a role. My take is that these are two, very different knives with very distinct purposes. Both are solid choices. I still have an exceedingly well used Nemo that has been to Hades and back, a testimony to the longevity of the 440 ilk pushed by the now ancient El Cajon facility.

Thanks for liking the photo.

Only have data for the Axe Hammer here in the office, which is basically a Jack Hammer without CBT.

General (from Buck):

Blade thickness: .178"
Blade length: 6.25"
Weight: 13.3 oz

Axe Hammer (from ACK):

Blade thickness: .171"
Blade Length: 6.25"
Weight: 13.3 oz

The biggest difference in use for me is the General's hollow grind and guard, and the choil on the Busses.

Now, I have Jack Hammer, Axe Hammer and SJTAC, so you can see that I like them :)

PS: Cool moniker, BTW. Haven't been in the Stubai Tal forever.
