Such a great knife. I had mine and had to sell it within a week to make ends meet back in a worse time of life. Ive saw a couple hit the exchange for at $130/140 not too long ago.
Sure we can bring back the "R" model>> but come on folks!!! >> I want the old, original skeletonized version of that classic among classics. As much as many of you guys who have been around Spyderco for a long time that really liked the "Q" model I've always thought that the original "R" model with the skeletonized handle and blade was just a really regal piece of knife art to say the least.
In 100 years if they end up having "Cutlery Galleries" just like they do Art Galleries in this time period I would be willing to bet that the original "R" model would be the equivalent to a Van Gogh painting. But for years I've tried to find a used R model for an EDC carry but the new in the box R models I've either owned or looked at in other collections I just can't bring myself to use one of them in pristine condition. To me it would be like defiling a work of art.
