I think it is because it is what is best for the blade. If you strip the blade and it rusts, then, it's on you... but if it rusts or has any problems, that's on the Busse reputation. So I understand and respect it. It's like Jerry won't make a knife for you if your design is weak in any way, his name/reputation is on the line.

Stripping INFI is easy and fun. It also adds another dimension to the Busse experience in making the blade more personal than standard use.
Other than that, just keep telling yourself how lucky you are to have found Busse Combat. Because your desires for this and that (INFI-wise) will go unfulfilled until Boss HOG has a Scotch sodden epiphany that matches it.
