Can you believe that I don't have a SAK?!

I've always felt the Deluxe Tinker is the perfect multi tool for me.
However, people's need are different.

My suggestion would be for the basic Tinker also - slim and light enough to carry easily, and provides a minimal set of tools. Then, there are several models that build on the Tinker tool set. The Super Tinker adds scissors, if you need them. The FieldMaster adds a saw, if you need that.

If you want to go simple, try the Alox-handled Pioneer series. Maybe the single layer, two blade model with large and small spearpoint blades.

They are all inexpensive and all well-made, so I suspect that this will not be your last. Have fun.

are personal - and the beauty is that one most probably can get a model with just the right combination of tools.

I have EDC a Victorinox Scientist model since 1982 - when I first saw one..... it used to be imported to the USA but has long been discontinued - however it is still made by Victorinox.

I liked the knife so much I had it customised with "stag" handles back in the early '90's. Despite of many other knives - this is still my EDC.
