Can you best this .22 for the price?

Actually no, when they first arrived on the scene I ultimately bought one for each of my kids. The only place I have come across them lately was at a larger venue Gun Show.

Peace

I didnt even know they made a rifle, but having shot several of their pistols, I think CZ makes some of the best pistols in the world. Their pistols have seemed to get a little more expensive, but that might be a Ca thing. I'll need to keep an eye out for that rifle...

Eric Brooks (his trigger kit) seems to be hit or miss these days. . . .when it comes to getting your kit after ordering. There's a gent selling a like product and he's spot on.

I purchased a 16" 452 for my son and we both have a blast at the range. The only work on the trigger. . . .I installed a lighter spring. I passed on installing a sleeve, as there's no creep.

The gun loves Wolf MT, Wolf ME, and SK Match.

Do they make one of these with a left handed bolt action?

Yep, they're made in lefthand for a while now,not sure which models though.I have the 'American' model and would have bought it in lefty if they were available at the time.Bedded the stock, put Brook's trigger kit in,JB Welded the lug. This rifle will shoot PMC Moderators into the same hole at 100', when I bought it I paid just over $200 for it,picked through a few to get "prettier" wood. Every one is different and at that time thet all had barrels too close to one side of the groove in the stock. The safety is different for sure but I treat it like a hammer.... drop it and you're safe,"cock" it,you're ready to fire.Look on Rimfire Central for EVERYTHING about all of 'em:thumbup:

cz makes excellent rifles, especially for the price. if i didnt have so many damn .22's i would definitely pick one up. as luck has it, my most accurate .22 was given to me by my father when i was real young. its an old remington 536, from the 30's, that his friend gave him cuz he owed him ten bucks haha

Sorry for going OT: do you know how much bigger the grip on the 97B is compared to the 1911A1?

Going by the photo on the CZ site it sure is a good looking gun and with 10rounds of .45acp cartridges would be good for those who like a few extra shots over that of the venerable Govt Model.

NP -- I started OT :) I just get excited about CZ products in general... The 97B grip frame is significantly larger than my 1911-- if you have small to medium hands you should go hold one -- a few of my friends don't like it because of this... it fits me like a glove and is a soft recoiling tack driver. If you have large hands it feels like you squeezed a piece of clay to exactly fit you.

I am looking closely at their .17 HMR offerings...

Maybe I should clarify - do you guys know if they make a left handed model with the factory threaded barrel?

If they have, I haven't seen or heard of one. All of the lefties that I know have purchased a 452 (22.5" barrel) and had their barrels cut / rethreaded.

Here's the phone # to reach CZ USA: 800 955-4486
