Can you guys suggest a ~50$ tactical folding knife?

Thanks guys, I'm going to look into all these knives and see which one fits me most. I see that the Recon 1 and the Voyager, and RAT 1 seem to be the most popular. Is the voyager small-hand friendly? My hands are described as "childlike" :D

The thickness is about 0.60" and the dimensions are roughly these:

Large Voyager wins this thread for budget tactical. This and the Recon1 in Clip, and Tanto blades are hard to beat for this purpose at any price and their main competition are the XL versions.

How can a knife that has to be operated with both hands be "tactical"? I hate to admit, but I find one handed closing to be a bit more convenient than one handed opening.

Kershaw Thermite. My favorite cheapo folder, it can be had for around $35-$40. If you want tactical just get the blacked out version. It won't disappoint.

Hello forum! So I have a little bit of money to spend on knives, and my current EDC knife (Gerber EVO) is getting pretty worn down. I'm looking for a folding knife under 50 dollars that can serve as a defensive tool, and do general utility tasks (cutting boxes, opening packages). Can you guys give me some ideas as to what knife to buy? Thanks, peace out!

I'd say try a Spyderco Delica. Great EDC type knife for around $50-65ish. Lot's o' different flavours to choose from...

I don't know much about 'tactical' knives, but I reckon I wouldn't want to be shanked by a Delica... or any other knife really. ;):D

Haha they also sell medium-sized Voyagers. Check 'em out!

Unfortunately the serrated and plain edge medium and large Vaquero Voyagers have been discontinued. The four inch plain edge Vaquero is a reasonable utility knife and a really nasty defence knife.

I like the kershaw tremor as a cheap thumping knife, got the wife a kershaw clash.

They are cheap but solid thumping knifes that come out quick. You can find them on Amazon at ~20$ a piece.

You need something a little fancier, spyderco has usually done right by me and it's what I carry more often.
Hiking I'll bring a couple. 2 is one and 1 is none.

Kershaw Blur is a great knife under $50 in most any category. The spring assist give you the tactical knife you want, but take the spring out and be surprised just how smooth it is.
