. . . . and do you know where I could locate a similar one?

This is very important and I would be very grateful to anyone who can help out on this.

Thanks,

Jerry

I got a smooth bolt one here in the safe, but it looks a good deal thicker than the one you have pictured Jerry. I think mine is a fatty.

Your photos have my interest though. You have mail.

looks like a smooth bolt smooth micarta'd smooth coat lean mean street... not sure if the blade geometry is different (would have to look it up), but im not a collector...

definitely good luck

(interesting backround on the first pic.... bueatiful, just interesting...)

I have a bead blasted one just like it.

yes what is the back ground on the first one?

crimescene picture ! bound female hands, no defense wounds on hand. Knife looks planted in hand of female.

Where is skunk? He is the king of the Mean Streets.

Something about those pics doesn't look right...they look like police photos

looks to be 1/4" smooth coat smooth bolts. i have one in fat 5/16th.

i sold my 1/4" to one of you guys???

bravado or nick?

It looks like mine, I must have sent it by mistake, send it back C.O.D., I miss it. :D

I think I have another, I'll look when I get home.

:D

Not a Lean Mean. Too early in the lifecycle. Lean Means were all INFI, quilted micarta, and crinkle coated.

Looks more like an A2 thinner stock MS.

Also looks more like home hobby photos ( ;) ) than crime scene.

i don't think you would want to lay claim to this one

I traded an A2, smooth finish and rivets, 1/4",a few months ago for an AD to somebody on this forum a few months ago. I love the AD but have a bit of trader's remorse. The MS was in the Airborne with me and was in some hairy situations with me as a fireman in Washington DC. Jerry, I hope you find it.

I checked at home and my 1/4" smooth fastener MS has the finish removed. The other thing that is wierd (besides the background) is how far the last fastener is from the butt of the knife, all eight of my MSs have the fastener only about 3/8" from the end of the micarta, Jerry's knife has it about inch or more from the micarta end, this knife looks to have a unusually long handle! The other feature that is different is it has the larger diameter talon and thong hole like the later slotted or tube fastener knives, the earlier smooth fastener knives had smaller diameter holes.
