I'm in a motel this evening and I have a visitor. A really cute visitor.

It is roughly 2.5 inches long. Very cool little guy.

its a gaco we had them in israel all over. they would come out in the evening to eat insects...

might be a lemoin gecko,

sell for about $25 in the pet stores around here

Burleson, Texas.
I have him in the room and a toad just outside.

He's really cool. I haven't been able to get him to talk to me yet. I assume he has an Aussie accent, but he's kinda shy.

Ask him about car insurance...that usually works. But be warned, he won't shut up about it...

I've seen two references to insurance, so I'm a little late on that one....

but, is he offering any good deals? :D

If you get hungry, you catch him and cook him over a candle and then cut his head off and eat him ala Bear Grylls style....

Geico insurance uses a gecko for their mascot...and he's always saying that he's a gecko, no Geiko!

He is might cute, though.

Yep, it's a gecko, I have about 300 of them in and around my yard.
Helps keep the insect population down. Those, the tree frogs and the spiders. . .

The OP's picture is pretty cool, that thing looks like it's got a HUGE head.

Here in Southern Arizona they can be found hanging around your porch light at night having a snack.

I never noticed them until this little guy showed up in my room last night. I see them a lot but unless you see them close up you don't notice the cool colors. I will start looking much more closely at lizards from now on.
