Can you ID this tree and unripe fruit?

Bradford pear. We have 12 in our front yard. Robins will strip the fruit (about pea size) when they ripen in the fall. They have been planted by the thousands in this area. Have beautiful white flowers in the spring, They are hardy and can live in the Great lakes region. Can tolerate pollution and are very disease resistant. On the downside the wood is on the brittle side and branches break off in strong winds.
