Can you identify this grinder?

Posted as a Vacon sander, but I believe Vacon is the maker of the variable drive not the grinder. Does anyone recognize it or does it look like a DIY unit?

Looks like you guys are right! Thanks. Now all I need you to do is convince my wife it's a good investment.

I agree it's a Bader 3

New retail is 2900 ish

They are asking $2250

It is a deal, 22% discount.

That seems a little high considering they don't even know it's name.

See what else they put with it.
Hundreds of dollars of belts thrown in, or a box of stabilized handle wood would bump that value up

what about a flat platen ?

Or maybe see how low they go ?

It is a great grinder. What it is worth is partly what comes with it and how much it has been used. Looks pretty new, so that is good. There may be other tooling arms and wheels, which will add value. If not, remember that yu will have to buy them. At a minimum, you will need a flat platen.

Vacon is the maker of the drive unit. IIRC, they make good drives.

I would offer 70% of what they are asking and see where they come back at.

It's probably more grinder than I can justify at this point in my hobby. But that doesn't make me want it any less. If I can free up some funds and it's still posted I may see what they will come down to.
Whoever made the post did it for someone else and isn't the actual owner, so that's why I wanted to ask here before I bothered them with questions they probably couldn't answer.
